With the grand unveiling of Pantone's colour of the year for 2026, (which is a whole other story in itself that you can read all about here), it got us thinking about what weird - and not so wonderful - decor/paint colours exist in the world!
Interior designers work with beautiful materials every day, but we think it's safe to say these have certainly slipped through the net!
We found 10 real decor and colour names so baffling, so awkward, so unbelievably committed to chaos - a pure master class in "please don't make me say that to a client" - we just had to share them with you (our apologies in advance).
WARNING - if you're a little on the squeamish side, maybe don't read these whilst eating...just saying.
So, lets take a look at the colours that we are loving to hate...
Lost for words? Yep, we were too, but love them or loathe them, they are certainly entertaining! What's slightly worrying is that there's plenty more where these came from, but we like to take some comfort in the fact that someone, somewhere was having fun when they came up with them!
