The Yorkshire Choice Awards!

The Yorkshire Choice Awards is a special event held to celebrate all that is good in the amazing county of Yorkshire - and we got to be a part of it!

Yep, this year we sponsored the award for Volunteer of the Year, which was presented by our Chairman to a very deserving winner.

Design Students Visit Lawcris

Lawcris recently invited a group of students from Cleveland College of Art & Design to their site in Leeds to take a look at their daily operation.

We always support any chance to unite and inspire anyone looking to get into our industry. The students experienced things that cannot be taught in the classroom as well as gaining contacts that they may not have been exposed to. Find out more.

The Lawcris Dream Team!

Once again, we have taken part in the York Motor Sport Village Karting Challenge to raise money and awareness for York Against Cancer.

The day raised in excess of a lovely jubbly £5000 for this amazing cause and we are so grateful to have been a part of it.

AND instead of finishing in 5th position like last year, we managed to finish in *drum roll*.........2nd place!!! Oh yes, our boys did us proud!

St Gemma's Winter Ball Success!

Well, another great success for St Gemma's and their Winter Ball.

The evening raised over a staggering £72,000.00, which is £10,000.00 more than the previous year!

We all had an absolute "ball" (sorry) and can't wait for it to happen all over again in 2018!

We just got sponsor-happy again!

It's no secret that we like to do our bit for the sporting teams of Yorkshire - this time it's the sponsoring of Knaresborough Town's Assistant Manager Paul Clayton!

Knaresborough Town currently sit proud in prime position at the top of the NCEL Division 1 league table - certainly a team to watch!

Lawcris Chairman completes charity walk!

It was lovely for Lynne Desborough from Cancer Research UK to pay us a visit so we could present her with our cheque for the total amount (a whopping £11,703.75!!) that Chris managed to raise on his big charity walk along the Cape Wrath Trail!

He and his friends endured 14 days and 230 miles of wild camping, river crossings and unmarked trails! Also being labelled the hardest walk in Britain, we say good on yer Chris! (It's a damn site more than we could do!)

Supporting Local Community Sports

Sponsorship money helps keep local sporting communities alive. Lawcris are the proud sponsor of several local sports teams. Support from local sponsors can help teams pay for travel and equipment so that they can concentrate on training without financial worries.

Big congratulations to our sponsored team, Fillies, who made it to the top of the Harrogate Senior Netball League Division 3 after an unbelievable undefeated season, during which they won all 14 of their fixtures. Well done ladies!
